Wanting to eat healthily but can’t stick to it

Client struggles to eat healthily, often gaining weight before finding the motivation to loose it.

Description

We worked on a belief that weight is just a number and explored how the client was experiencing weight gain, healthy eating and loosing weight.

Outcome

The client was too close to the small changes in weight, causing a reduction in motivation towards healthy eating. Taking a broader, more distance approach allowed the client to engage with the motivation needed to eat healthy.

amazing - only been a couple of days but I have noticed that when I think of what I’m going to eat I work out what’s the most healthy option. I did have a cookie on Wednesday and enjoyed it as ate healthily for the rest of the day and last night I walked down the sweet & chocolate aisle completely disinterested and got some nuts - of which I had a couple of handfuls and then put them away! I find that I’m not obsessing over food like I have done before and I don’t feel the need to eat everything in sight when I’m on my own. Can’t see it changing either as I’m not having to make the effort to stay on track.
